Oops, I somehow missed yesterday's check-in. Probably got distracted by the Notre Dame de Paris. But I did write. I'll check in today when I've written! I did already so some novel research, but I plan to get some actual words down, too.

Only an alibi sentence for me for yesterday; I've been glued to livestreams and liveblogs about the Notre Dame fire, as this hit me very hard. We have a long family connection to France with many friends and some distant relations, and I've lived for three years in Paris as well, so this hit even closer to home than it would with everybody here.
Today, nearly 1k for me of a joint-written fic, and on both days also at leat half an hour also spent on reorganising these files for the new fic project.

[another day with a bit of a struggle to settle to anything, just 250 written yesterday. just waking up now though, gonna grab an indulgent breakfast and try again, see if i can make up some of the missed time. don't want to be on the current chapter for much longer ]

Another meta post done and yet more words added to the WIP, but I think we're on schedule to link up with the last piece of anachronic written material as soon as I can get through this particular segment. And after that, it's all climactic clashes and then one very sweet ending.

And then it will need a beta, SPAG, and a few more things before it's ready for posting.

I typed and edited a chapter of my 3rd grader's story for her (just under 500 words). She is fantastically creative and astonishingly bad at spelling. I did an alibi sentence for myself. She declared my story to be too boring, haha.

Today I felt utterly unequal to facing either of my active WIPs, so I wrote two hundred words to a prompt instead, and had a wonderful time doing it. ^_^

I... worked on plotting. As in, diagrams and things. Arrows and circles. Stuff sorted into columns. Headdesk. But I can't seem to go forward until I work out a few things, so. Bleah. I could just string all the scenes together randomly and call it "experimental." No? Oh well. ;-)
