Fandom Size Meme
Jan. 19th, 2022 02:58 pmHow big are your fandoms? List them in order of the number of works posted for them at AO3
Leaving out Original Work and fandoms I only have 1 Work for, I have 13 fandoms:
( 13 fandoms under cut )
Comment to this entry and I'll pick 3 of your fandoms. You must then update your journal and answer the following questions:
01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
03: Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
04: Do you participate in this fandom (fan fiction, graphics, discussions)?
05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?
Copied from
Lewis
01: I've been a Morse fan since 2006 (yeah, I know, but ITV did reruns, lol) but when I saw the trailer for the first series of Lewis I just thought it was too sad seeing poor Lewis all old and depressed, and I thought I'd miss Morse too much, so I didn't watch it. I then promptly forgot all about it until I saw a trailer for the third series and thought what the heck, I'll give it a try. And promptly fell in love with it. I've yet to see the first two series, but I'm buying the DVDs as soon as I get a chance.
02: Ooh, I dunno. It is a very small fandom unfortunately, so there's not much to keep me there in the long run.
03: From series 3? Probably The Quality of Mercy. I really, really want to see Life Born of Fire from series 2 though.
04: Not yet. Maybe when I've seen all the episodes.
05: Hell yes! There's only a handful of people, and the show deserves so much more recognition than that.
Life on Mars
01: I'd been watching for a couple of weeks, from 2x01 onwards, when after 2x06 aired I finally realised that I'd yet to search for the fandom online. I typed it in to LJ, found
02: I think I have moved away from it quite recently, have been focusing more on Torchwood. I did spend about a year and a half totally entranced though.
03: Argh, difficult one. I think I'm gonna have to say 2x07, simply because of the Sam/Gene interaction in that ep. One of my favourite scenes is of Gene burping loudly after devouring his breakfast and Sam dropping his spoon into his dainty little yoghurt pot with disgust.
04: I wrote a lot of fic for this fandom during 2007/2008, but my creative spark eventually fizzled out.
05: I think that there was quite a healthy sized fanbase for this show when it was at its peak, but lately it's gotten very quiet. But yes, if you haven't seen it, you must. I get ever so frustrated with my Dad now for watching A2A and going 'who the hell is this Sam bloke?'
Doctor Who
01: I know how I got in to the show, but I can't remember quite how I got into fandom. I think it must have been mainly reading fic on FF.net until I discovered LJ.
02: Oh, I'm here to stay, baby.
04: I've not written much for this fandom at all, no. I guess I just think it's so perfect that I can't bear to put my grubby paws all over it, you know?
