WELL.

WOWZA.

That was well worth all the hype and anticipation. I do rather wish I hadn't watched those cast videos fifteen times, had perhaps seen too many clips beforehand, but other than that? One very happy bunny here.

- Rick in his speedos. They need a mention.
- Simm's little beard. I wasn't convinced back in the days of those Radio Times pictures (you know, the hand on Phil's knee one), but here? Me likey. Very much.
- QUINN! <333 Easily my favourite character, no surprise there then.
- Poor Woody. :( I hope this story doesn’t break him too much more.
- Alvo. OH MY WORD. Did not expect to like him as much I do. So fascinating. He's just so quietly insane. And cruel. And clever. And has a rather sexy Spanish accent. I couldn’t help feeling sorry for him even though he was Captain Prick in the way he behaved towards the others.

- THAT ENDING. Seriously amazing. The Tony/Tiny Blair thing is still funny, somehow. Or maybe that’s just me.
- The ominous misdirection before they push Rick in the pool! Love the writing.
- On a totally unexpected note, shipping. Baxter is very single. Quinn is very lonely. COME ON PEOPLE, FIC TIME!
- That bit round the table at the end. So much going on there. I love how subtly the built-up tension in the scene gets broken - Quinn doesn’t even raise his voice that much - before it suddenly takes a flying leap into OMFG DRAMA.
- Baxter to Woody: “Do you want me to rub lotion into your nuts?” Enough said. (HOW MUCH SLASH, SERIOUSLY?)
- I awwwed so much when Baxter was all like “You broke my glasses!” *sadface*
- “Shouldn’t we say a few words?” “Goodbye, Goat…” “Yeah, that’ll do it.” XDDD
- Quinn accidentally getting high. And the way Baxter slumps down on the sofa next to him. I CAN’T EVEN.
- Quinn’s video message at the very beginning. “Just tell your kids you love them” “I’m not sure they’d believe me. Erm…be true to your self. That’s all I have to say.” Slightly broke my heart. :(((
- The ringing phone motif. I kept getting flashbacks to LoM. I can’t be the only one.
- QUINN THE GRAMMAR FREAK. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. And I love Baxter’s response too. The snark, I adore it.

- The trailer for next week! SO GLAD I don’t have to wait for the DVDs. Shower!Simm. More Quinn/Baxter stuff. Burying Alvo, not very successfully either. The money. The promise of more dark humour and sexy boys. What’s not to love?
