SQUEEEEEEE! :DDDDD
ROFL at Glenister's German accent. I'm just so used to him as Gene. Yeah, I know it's supposed to be stilted, that's the point, but it still makes me want to giggle.
I love Clare Holman. Already know her from Morse and Lewis as Dr Hobson, of course, and she's just as utterly brilliant in this.
Also, HATHAWAY!!! :D That was a lovely surprise. Cute as a button, German or not. :P
The two young spies, Phil and Eugene? (Yes, I grinned at the names.) I shipped them from the moment I saw them. Which probably means that sooner or later one of them'll end up dead. And with what just happened? Seems likely. The Baron had a point about the moral high ground, sadly, though you can totally understand why they did it.
I like the Mrs Mahey (?) character, she's really compelling with all her bitterness and courage. Her husband's funeral. The eggs! :(
Which just leaves me to talk about the Baron. Hmm. He is totally twisted but I love him. Yes, I know that's the point. Yes, I'd probably love him anyway just 'cause it's Glenister. But the 'handsome man in the velvet dark' line? The chocolate, sons in the Luftwaffe? He's a lying evil Nazi bastard who gets his own men to shoot each other and yet I'm cheering every time he comes on the screen. I will admit that my only previous knowledge of this show was a Baron/Clare Holman's character ship vid, which may have influenced me slightly. :P But still.
I am hooked, I'm looking forward to next week! :D
